Sodalite, also known as Canadian blue stone or just bluestone, is a royal blue coloured mineral, and a common constituent of lapis lazuli. It has been described as a gemstone in the 19th century and it is named after its sodium content.

 

Sodalite is mainly used in carvings, beads and jewelry and while it's known for its blue colour, it can also be found in other colours, such as green and light pink.

Sodalite is known as the Stone of Truth.
